The etui, French, mid 19th century, the mount on stand 19th Century, the stand by Mallett
The etui, oblong, the cover engraved with initials 'AS' in blue, the case with push-pin opening, containing implements in vari-coloured gold with reed and pellet decoration, comprising a thimble, scissors with steel blades, awl with steel pin, and needle-case, one fitting lacking; and two other items, the stand depicting a female head surrounded by C-scrolls and surmounted by a shell, on a pale blue and gilt concave-cornered rectangular sloping pedestal
