THE SAUCEBOAT WITH MAKER'S MARK OF EDWARD BARNARD AND SONS LTD, LONDON, 1931, THE PLATE BIRMINGHAM, 1972
The sauceboat oval and on three fluted hoof feet, with shaped rim and leaf-capped up-curved scroll handle, marked on underside - 6¾in. (17.5cm.) long, the plate plain circular and with beaded border, engraved with the Royal arms and dated 1947-1972, in fitted case and with certificate no. 1094 from an edition of 3000, commemorating the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II, marked on reverse - 8in. (20.5cm.) diam.
