F.R.G.S. Leader of the National Antarctic Expedition, 1901-1904 & 1910-1912 Born June 6th 1868 Died March 1912.' beneath the image. (Browned and staining to margins.)

This original studio photograph dates to c.1904-1905, with Scott wearing the Victorian Order and Polar medal from the Discovery expedition of 1901-1904.
