Salon Brut, Le Mesnil--Vintage 1982 Parcel Lots: 14-15 I count myself lucky to have been able to tatse this wine. Salon is rare, they produce only one cuvée and from only one grape, yields are very low and the vines from which they come must be at least 40 years old. Production is about 20,000 bottles a year (1600 cases), that is ofcourse if they release any at all. Since Salon was established in 1921 they have declared only 31 vintages. Tasting note: soft yeasty, citrus nose. Gloriously creamy palate, butter nuts, crisp lemon fruit, excellently balanced acidity, long supple finish. DW
