The centres painted with a simulated Sailors' Company's coat-of-arms showing a sailing ship on a shield-shaped cartouche beneath a helmet surmounted by the crest of a fish and with pendant scrolling foliage, surrounded by the initials C/T/M and with the date 1728 below, one inscribed GOD*PRESERVE*THE*FISHERY*, the other inscribed GOD.PRESERUE(sic).THE:FISHERY*, on ribbon cartouches above, the borders with stylised flowers alternating with hatched ornament (slight chips and glaze flaking to rims)
