Tasting note: tasted in September 1990, very deep, mulberry-centred, purple-rimmed; nose unsettled though plenty of fruit; very powerful, aggressive even on the palate, very good but astringently dry. Two months later, in a fascinating line-up of recent vintages at Latour, the colour of cherry brandy, certainly more intense that the 1989.; a good crisp, scented cedar and Cabernet Sauvignon aroma; full-bodied, good fruit and some soft flesh waiting in the wings...A very tannic wine.
