The interior with two circular apertures for inkwells and two rectangular apertures for quills and painted with a quill, a knife and a pair of dividers edged in yellow and on a blue ground, the sides of the waisted exterior applied with a naked putto and painted with grottesche between stepped borders of cell and foliage ornament and yellow and ochre line rims (some restoration to putti and edges, some minor rim chips and glaze flaking)
