A PAIR OF GERMAN PORCELAIN TWO-HANDLED OZIER-MOULDED OVAL BASKETS AND COVERS
Circa 1775, perhaps Ludwigsburg

Painted with estuary scenes with figures among trees and before buildings within moulded gilt scroll and foliage cartouches, the handles formed as entwined ropetwist and the covers with a purple rose and a yellow and iron-red fruit finial (restoration to one handle, one cover broken and restored, the other with restored rim chip, chip to one basket, some rubbing to gilding)
