Manuscript on paper, 305ff., each with 17ll. of minute black naskh, gold roundels between verses, red, green and gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, illuminated marginal medallions marking the divisions of text, sura headings in white on gold cartouches painted with black scrolling vine in illuminated panels, (folios trimmed, occasional small damages and repairs, penultimate folio a later replacement), opening bifolio illuminated in gold and polychrome, final folio with colophon stating that it was legally purchased by Muhammad Ibrahim b. Hajji Malik al-Jaishi(?) at the Dar al-Sultaneh, Isfahan, this inscription written by Mir 'Ali b. Ibrahim, and with the erroneous date AH 830/1426 AD, also stamped with the seal of Muhammad Ibrahim dated AH 1080/1669-70 AD, contemporary brown morocco binding and flap with red and gold stamped arabesque panel in a rope-pattern border (restored, light wear), red morocco doublures with gold painted medallion
