Persian manuscript on buff paper, 469ff. plus one flyleaf, each folio with 21ll. of black nasta'liq in four columns, gold ruled intercolumnar divisions, red, green and gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, headings in red and orange, (some staining and smudging, damages and repairs, misbound and possibly incomplete) opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated heading (trimmed, light wear), 3 others similar in text, 11 contemporary full page minatures throughout the text (some creasing and flaking, occasional small damages and repairs), final folio with colophon dated AH 971/1563-4 AD (last figure possibly altered), later black morocco binding with gold and coloured medallion and spandrels (some wear)
