With rounded body on short foot rising to the tubular neck, the cup-shaped mouth with flaring lip, the body with four panels of bold black arabesques divided by groups of three strong cobalt-blue vertical stripes, the neck with stylised black fish, the mouth with a band of stylised kufic between stripes, the whole covered with a brilliant turquoise glaze, repair to base of neck, areas of iridescence
