TWO KASHAN MOULDED POTTERY INSCRIPTION FRIEZE TILES
CENTRAL PERSIA, 13TH CENTURY

Each of rectangular form, a raised ridge above and below, the lustre ground with turquoise scrolling arabesques and white flowering vine around a raised thuluth inscription, the upper and lower bands with lustre inscription between similar plain stripes, one with repaired clean break, both with minute areas of retouching
