Lot Essay

Two similar figurines were sold in these Rooms, 18 October 1994, lot 379 and 25 April 1995 lot 275. The present example is closer related to the second of the previous examples in that the head is carved integrally with the body. A discussion of these figurines can be found with different details in the notes under both the above lot numbers.
