Surmounted by a putto seated on a cloud hung with foliate swags, above the ormolu dial with white and black enamel roman numerals and maker's name JULES GRAUX PARIS, with twin-train movement striking on a bell, on a rectangular base flanked to each side by a winged female caryatid supporting a husk festoon, on shaped plinth
