The shaded burgundy-red field with a counterposed design of scrolling palmettes and floral vine with pairs of stylised animals, in a broad shaded green scrolling palmette and floral vine border, between sandy yellow inscription and floral cartouche, burgundy and yellow linked flowerhead and floral vine stripes, plain outer yellow stripe, an inscription panel at one end

The design of this carpet is taken from the 'Emperor's Carpets' in the Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna and in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
