cover GRIMSBY: 1807 (3rd Aug.) entire letter written by Commander William Wilkinson on board H.M.S. Minotaur "two hundred miles from Yarmouth", and continued on August 7th. at "Elsenure" (sic), interesting contents regarding the build-up of English troops "..we shall take this part of Denmark, called the Island of Zealand", showing a very good strike of the double-oval "SHIP-LETTER/Crown/GRIMSBY" h.s. (Type S2) in black, rated "1/2" (8d. inland charge, 4d. ship letter fee and 2d. gratuity). A lovely Napoleonic War campaign letter. Photo
