cover MARYPORT: 1814 (2 June) double weight entire letter from Corunna to London (17.6 arrival), carried by private ship to Maryport (which did not have a ship letter handstamp) where the "MARYPORT/318" mileage mark was applied, together with the addition of manuscript "Mary Port Ship Letter" in red, oval framed "SHIP/Crown/LETTER" (Type S10) applied on arrival, rated "2/10" (2/2d. inland rate, 8d. ship letter fee, and no Captain's gratuity).
