1807 (25 Nov.) entire letter from a sailor, at Luveisten in Holland, to his wife in Deptford, informing her that "It is with extreme regret I inform you of the misfortune that has befallen us & we are now all Prisoners in the Hands of the Dutch" and describes the capture of his ship at Copenhagen, rated in manuscript and showing faint "SHIP/(crown)/LETTER" on address panel; a little creased and soiled but otherwise fine and a most interesting letter.
