11 volumes in 10 (index vol. bound in vol.I), 4° (268 x 213mm). Subscribers lists. 193 hand-coloured etched plates after and by Latham. (Repaired hole in plate IX vol.I, occasional light spotting, particularly to first and last few leaves.) Contemporary green half morocco gilt, g.e., by J.Wright (spines very slightly faded). Provenance: Edward Joshua Cooper (1798-1863, astronomer, Markree Castle, armorial bookplate); E.M.Cooper (inscriptions, dated 1863).

A FINE SET OF THE REVISED AND EXPANDED SECOND EDITION. The work has the matter of the two supplementary volumes incorporated in their proper place, as well as some new text and plates. Latham was 80 when he began this revision. Fine Bird Books p.87; Nissen IVB 532; Zimmer p.376. (10)
