Additional engraved or lithographic titles to vol.II-IV, VI-XIII, XVII-XIX, XXI, 352 engraved and lithographic plates printed in colours or coloured by hand, some folding, 19 uncoloured plates, 3 folding, numerous woodcut illustrations in the text, almanac for 1856 bound in. (Some leaves rather browned or spotted, a few slightly soiled or stained.) Later green half morocco, spines gilt with red and brown lettering-pieces (slightly rubbed).
Harrison was the gardener and nurseryman at Wortley Hall, and edited this periodical of practical gardening, which, after his death, was continued as The Gardener's Weekly and Gardener's Magazine. Sold as a periodical not subject to return. (14)
