36 volumes only (of 38), comprising 23 text vols. bound in 25, 8° (205 x 126mm); 11 volumes of plates, 2° (664 x 508mm). 49 tables, plates or maps in the text volumes (most folding); 1 engraved title, 1 engraved table and 846 engraved plates or maps in the plate volumes. (Most plate volumes with some light dampstaining, marginal in the main.) Text vols. bound in contemporary green morocco-backed boards, spines gilt with Egyptian motifs (corner of one cover of vol.XIV broken off); plate vols. in contemporary red half morocco (spines and several covers faded).
