DESIGNED AND MADE BY PETER WAALS IN 1932

Each with octagonal-section column legs and champfered bifurcating stretchers with short connecting strut, each with brass butterfly connectors to form a single long table.

Lot Essay

Commissioned by the Bazley family from Waals in 1932, and presented to Sir Thomas Bazley to mark his 25th birthday. More recently the tables have been used in Hatherop Castle School, formerly owned by the Bazley family.
