A FINE INTERNALLY DECORATED AND MARQUETRY INLAID GLASS VASE

In the form of a slender flower with pad foot, inlaid in marqueterie sur verre technique with pale lilac over white, amber, aubergine and rich dark green forming four flowering crocuses, finely carved with detailing on the petals and sepals, the grey body streaked with fine trails of pink and purple rising from the densely coloured foot, the base applied over patches of gold foil inclusions with a calyx of clear amber/green glass finely striped with indigo and pulled up onto the body in clear amber trails, carved at the base with fine detailing, the body with engraved mark Gallé in elaborate script, the underside with original printed label Faiences & Verreries d'Art Emile Gallé Nancy Paris with ink manuscript notation No.1 ..de ...
