A MARQUETRY GLASS VASE
BY GALLE, CIRCA 1900

Bowed triangular with central groove on the reverse, in milky amber glass overlaid with deep green and aubergine at the base pulled up into swirling trails against a milky ground, inlaid in marqueterie sur verre technique over scattered aventurine inclusions with two flowering anemones, in white, purple, rust red and yellow, each flower with fine intaglio carved detailing, finely incised signature Gallé.
