Lot Essay

A companionpiece to our painting entitled 'A Terrace, Lake of Como: Afternoon' was exibited at the Academy the same year, no.282 (repr. Academy Notes, 1904, p.78).

The scene depicts Lake Como from a point on the west bank between Tremezzo and Cadenabbia looking east to where Lake Como branches into two.
