With polished two-stage sighted barrel engraved with foliage around the fore-sight and with chiselled gridle on a punched copper ground and decorated with three copper-lined tassels, the breech finely chiselled in low relief with a mounted huntsman sounding his horn, his hounds attacking a boar, with symmetrical scrollwork and foliage above and beneath, all against a punched copper ground, engraved tang, polished rounded border engraved lock inlaid with a copper band on the tail, moulded figured walnut full stock carved with foliage in relief behind the barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe, and on each side of the butt, border engraved iron mounts decorated with scrolling foliage and lattice-work, and set with copper bands, turned ramrod-pipes, horn fore-end cap, original horn-tipped ramrod, and in exceptional original condition throughout
