With rebrowned two-stage twist barrel, the breech section octagonal changing to polygonal, engraved case-hardened patent breech with gold line and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved grooved case-hardened tang, signed engraved case-hardened lock with stepped tail, pierced cock, roller, and rainproof pan, figured walnut half-stock (old worm holes in the butt), engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons (one damaged), horn fore-end cap, and brass-tipped ramrod: in contemporary lined and fitted oak case with a powder-flask and a turnscrew, the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle and trade label of Alexander Wilson's Gun and Pistol Warehouse at 1 Vigo Lane, Sackville Street, Birmingham proof marks
