With two-stage brass barrel turned at the muzzle and girdle and retained by a slotted brass band, octagonal breech struck with Barcelona mark and maker's mark of Francisco Massavi (similar to Neue Støckel 7875), engraved tang, signed lock engraved with rococo ornament and foliage (finger pad missing), walnut full stock carved with flowerheads and foliage behind the barrel tang, 'Catalan' butt, engraved brass mounts comprising side-plate, butt-plate and trigger-guard, and iron-tipped ramrod (side-plate later, belt hook missing)
