With browned twist barrels each with silver fore-sight and signed in full on the top flat, case-hardened scroll engraved patent breeches each with pierced platinum plug, scroll engraved case-hardened detented locks each with safety-catch, figured walnut full stocks, silver mounts from an earlier pair of pistols including trophy of arms side-plates, spurred pommels each with grotesque mask cap, and cast and chased silver escutcheons, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end caps, silver ramrod-pipes, blued triggers and trigger-plates, original horn-tipped ramrods, and most of their original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with accessories, London proof marks, London silver hallmarks for 1752, maker's mark JA
