A PAIR OF IRISH 10-BORE FLINTLOCK CARRIAGE PISTOLS

With browned octagonal barrels (one with some pitting), engraved tangs each incorporating a back-sight, signed bevelled locks each with roller (one lock and two side-nails replaced), figured walnut full stocks (one fore-end cracked and with old repair), swelling flat-sided butts each cut with pineapple chequering along the spine, brass mounts including trigger-guards each with acorn finial and engraved with flowers and foliage on the bow, border engraved silver escutcheons opposite the locks each bearing owner's initials JP, and one original horn-tipped ramrod (the other replaced)
