A PAIR OF 15-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS

With three-stage slightly belled barrels struck beneath the breech with barrelsmith's mark 'TP', a fleur-de-lys above, engraved tangs, signed rounded border engraved locks each decorated with foliage on the cock and tail (one steel-spring an old replacement), walnut full stocks (one fore-end cracked) each carved with an acanthus leaf behind the barrel tang, brass mounts comprising pierced side-plates cast and chased with foliated strapwork terminating in a grotesque head, cast and chased escutcheons, spurred pommels with groteque mask caps, engraved trigger-guards, and turned ramrod-pipes, and brass-capped ramrods (one replaced, iron parts with some light pitting), London proof marks
