With rebowned twist barrels, case-hardened recessed patent breeches signed on the extension of the rib and each with platinum lines and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved grooved tang, signed case-hardened detented locks each with safety-catch, roller, and rainproof pan, the jaw screws (one replaced) each with chequered head, figured walnut half-stock, chequered butt, flat pommel, engraved blued iron mounts, and stirrup ramrod, retaining some original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with accessories including flask covered in red leather, the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle and brass plaque engraved 'G. Fitz William Esq. Rl. Horse Guards', London proof marks
