The shakudo nanako plate of the latter kozuka is probably of earlier period. The custom of mounting an early plate into a later case and adding an attribution is not unusual.

The shakudo nanako plate decorated with a karashishi in takazogan and gilt spots in Kaga Goto style; and a shakudo nanako kozuka depicting a poet beneath a poem written on tanzaku in shakudo and iroe takazogan, the details and the poem in gilt hirazogan, with signature Kenjo saku, Mitsuyoshi and Kao (2)
