A GEORGE II MAHOGANY PARTNERS' PEDESTAL DESK

The rectangular green leather-lined top with gadrooned edge above three frieze drawers in each side, with a ribbon-and-rosette apron and four drawers in each side of each pedestal, one drawer in each pedestal running through to the other side, on foliate-edged plinth base and castors, the ornate carving applied at a later date, formerly with carrying-handles and with additional plugged holes in the ends, possibly for a shelf or door
