The bevelled rectangular plate in a foliate frame and eared border with foliate edge flanked by floral and acorn trails, the swan-neck cresting with flowerhead terminals and centred by an associated eagle, with waved apron, the reverse with printed paper label of J.A. LEWIS & SON 136, BROMPTON ROAD, LONDON, S.W., inscribed in pencil S. Room and 20 5/8, and inscribed in red chalk 612/2899 and in yellow chalk JAG 2597, the plate possibly later
