Designed in the French Grecian style with stepped-tablet drawer-fronts in the manner popularised in the 1780's by David Roentgen of Neuweid. A number of leading Warsaw cabinet-makers at the court of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski (1764-95), had trained in the Roentgen workshops.
