etching, 1635, third state (of five), before the appearance of the line between the Devil's right claw and wing, a superb, black impression with strong contrasts, watermark Four-Leaf Clover (?), with margins, a horizontal crease below the subject where the title had been folded, a made-up area with pen and ink additions towards the lower left edge, a repaired tear in the legend at the lower right edge, one or two further short tears at the sheet edges, away from the subject, some pale discolouration in the margins, otherwise generally in very good condition, P. 14 x 18¼in. (355 x 462mm.); Soliman (L. 363-368), etchings, 1620, title and set of five plates, the title second state (of four), very good, strong impressions, all on fine laid paper, L. 363 with armorial watermark crescent moon within a cartouche (cf. Le Briquet 1232, dated 1601), L. 368 with watermark Le Roi (L. 22), most with margins, or trimmed on or just inside the platemark, L. 363 with two uninked printer's creases, one with associated split at the left sheet edge, one or two pinholes, L. 367 with a small loss and discolouration in the subject, backed, otherwise generally in good condition, framed, averaging P. 8 x 11in.
