Designed with the Omi Hakkei (The Eight Views of Omi [Lake Biwa]) in gold and silver takamaki-e, hiramaki-e and details of togidashi, kirigane and gold foil on a dense nashiji ground, the full moon on the lid of the box inlaid silver; fitted with two rectangular compartments, the lower on four bracket feet, and with a removable footed tray decorated en suite
