Muromachi-Edo Periods (16th-17th centuries)
The first, a round iron plate pierced with a design of four chrysanthemums, 3 3/16in. (7.8cm.) diameter; the second, an Onin tsuba pierced with rounds and shaped flower petals and decorated with dots, the rim in brass, 3 1/16in. (7.7cm.) diameter; the third, a kacchu-shi tsuba pierced with a fan design and dote mimi, 2 9/16in. (7.1cm.) diameter; the fourth, an undulating thick mokkogata tsuba pierced with a simple cross design, 3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) diameter; the fifth, a six lobe mokkagata iron plate, the rim decorated with a thin circle of brass, 3 7/16in. (8.7cm.) diameter; the last, a thick mokkagata tsuba pierced with a cross design, the vertical strut of the cross in the form of a bird, 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) diameter (6)
