An okubi-e (large-head portrait) on a white mica ground of the actor performing the kabuki version of the puppet play Chikagoro kawara no tatehiki (also known as Oshun Dembei), performed by Utaemon at the Nakamura Theater 4/1808 and 1814, the 1808 debut performance believed to be characterized here, signed Gototei Kunisada ga and published by Kawaguchiya Uhei--very good impression, some stains, glued on upper corners, pin holes, restorations, soiled, some mica residue
