A Bronze Ewer and Cover
Koryo Dynasty (10th-11th century)
Thinly cast, with raised bands at the midsection of the cylindrical neck and on the slightly slanted shoulder, applied with a faceted, curved spout of diamond section incised near the base with bands of stippling and stiff leaves and with two parallel lines at the tip, also applied with a curved strap handle incised with a stand of flowers on long, slender stems, grasses and stippled arabesques, and fitted with a hinged, circular cover incised on the flat lip with stippled sprays matching those on the handle and incised in the recessed well surrounding the knop with a collar of stiff leaves
