Lot Essay

The sitter is an actress, the daughter of a Dutch oilman and born in Mexico, who broke into Hollywood films during the mid 1940s as a starlet, noted for her considerable beauty. She was married to the actors Tyrone Power and Edmund Purdom. Her film appearances have included Tarzan and the Mermaids (1948); The V.I.P.s (1963); and How to Seduce a Playboy (1966).
