A BELGIAN PARCEL-GILT CHALICE
LIEGE, CIRCA 1725, MAKER'S MARK HR

On shaped-square base and with baluster stem, the base engraved with scrolls and foliage on a matted ground and the Instruments of the Passion within shaped-oval cartouche and inscription, the stem with winged seraphim, a cow, eagle and lion mask, each within foliate scrolls, the later gilded bowl with sleeve pierced and engraved with winged seraphim, cornucopia, vines and wheat, with inscription under base, marked on foot rim

17ozs. (535grs.)

The inscriptions reads 'ORA PRO ANIMA DONATIS GH' AND 'EX DONO R.D. GILBERTI'
