A GEORGE III SILVER CUP AND COVER
MAKER'S MARK OF THOMAS CHAWNER, LONDON, 1784
Vase-shaped and on spreading circular foot, with reeded loop handles, spool-shaped cover and urn finial, finely bright-cut engraved with ribbon-tied floral swags, the body with musical trophy, a coat-of-arms within an oval cartouche, a further coat-of-arms and a presentation inscription within an oval cartouche, the cover with floral swags and two oval cartouches, one enclosing a crest, the other a monogram, marked on foot rim and cover, with gilt interior

The inscription reads 'Presented by the Worshipful Company of HABERDASHERS LONDON. to Mr Humphrey Felton of Drayton, Salop, For his Integrity & Services rendered them during his Receivership of their Estates in Staffordshire and Shropshire for them and their Late Tenant Philip Justice Esq.'
The arms are those of The Haberdashers Company and Felton
