Thomas Chippendale published a 'Buror Dressing Table' with this shape of top, on a chest of drawers with canted corner cupboards in The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director, 3rd Ed. 1763, pl.LXII. The scroll-bracket foot and cupboard door, with applied 'Embossments' in the French manner, appeared on the 'Desk & Bookcase' (op.cit pl. CVIII) to the handles
