The Vine, or Plumpy Bacchus (A., L. 5)
etching, 1852, on wove paper, third state (of four), signed in pencil and inscribed 'Trial Proof' beneath each of the two subjects, further signed with initials by A. H. Palmer and inscribed 'Trial proof. Later state; when the lower subject had been altered to vignette', trimmed just inside the platemark, a soft diagonal crease between the subjects, the remains of old tape at the upper sheet corners, otherwise generally in good condition
