George Forester (1735-1811) was the son of Brooke Forester of Dothill, Wenlock and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Barnston of Chester. The sitter was Member of Parliament for Wenlock and Master of the Willey Hunt. He died unmarried and left his estates to his cousin Cecil, 1st Lord Forester
