Lot Essay

As the title suggests Slovo kak takovoe concerns itself with poetic language. The greater part of the text is given to passages by Kruchenykh and Khlebnikov flexing their poetic muscle in defence and celebration of transrational poetry and its firm roots in simple language. The cover of the book is decorated with a particularly strong lithograph by Malevich entitled 'Woman reaping'.

The edition of the book is recorded to have been 500 but examples rarely appear on the market. The present copy survives in good condition
