Cunningham, T.D., a solicitor from Annan, served with the First Volunteer Service Company, King's Own Scottish Borderers during the South African War, January to December 1900 and took part in operations in the Cape and Orange River Colonies and in the Transvaal, East of Pretoria; served with his Regiment's 5th (Volunteer) Battalion during the Great War.
