INDENTPrivate David Barnes, born in Cardross, served for 14 years with the 3rd (Militia), Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders before his re-enlistment in the Militia, aged 37, at Dumbarton, 1908 (Militia Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Army Order 48, February, 1913).

Private D. McMillan received the Militia Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, November 1908 (Army Order 279).

Corporal Hugh McCallion received the Special Reserve Long Serice and Good Conduct Medal, October 1913 (Army Order 334). He was killed in action, 25th September, 1915 and his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.

A total of three Militia Long Service and Good Conduct Medals awarded to the 3rd Battalion, and a total of 13 to the 4th Battalion.
A total of ten Special Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medals awarded to the 3rd Battalion.
